New Painting - "Rolling In"

This painting was the first sale at my solo exhibition.  It is the entrance to "The Spot" a local surfing place in Yanchep.  The painting was from a photograph taken at The Spot around 5pm in the afternoon, the storm was just rolling in and this gives this painting such a lovely moody quality.

Pastel Painting - "Cool Sands"

This painting below titled "Cool Sands" is the largest painting that I have attempted in pastel.  It is 1120 x 870 and is so effective.  So far one of my favourites, I have been sitting my show this week in Midland and I have been gazing at that painting all week wishing I was walking down that track and heading of to the beach for the day.  The painting is of one of the walkways down Yallingyup Beach and is currently for sale.  For further information or pricing enquiries please contact me annsteerart@hotmail.com

Pastel Painting "Escape"

Over the next few weeks I will be uploading my paintings currently being exhibited at my solo exhibition.  This painting below is titled "Escape"  It is the entrance to the local surf spot called "The Spot" at Yanchep.  It has a wonderful textured quality to the plants and pretty pink daisies amongst the blue grey bushes.  The shadows of blue contrast delightfully against the blue grey hues of the foliage.  If you would love this painting in your home please do not hestitate to contact me annsteerart@hotmail.com for pricing and further information or to arrange a private viewing at my home studio.

New Programme Dates for Art Classes are below:

Pastel Painting - Adults
Wednesday mornings 10am to 12 noon
5 Week Course Cost $120 (includes all pastels) need to supply own paper

Commencing 29 August to 26 September 2012


Mixed Media - Children (ages 10 to 14) (Police Cleared)
Saturday mornings 10am to 12 noon
6 week course cost $120
Commencing 1 September 2012
I teach kids depth, shade, tone, through a variety of mediums, we draw, paint acrylics, sculpture, charcoal and pastel.  They learn so much and absolutely love these lessons.

Don't forget this Sunday is the opening of my first Solo Art Exhibition at Midland Junction Art Centre, 276 Great Eastern Hwy, Midland, from 2-4pm.  I would love the opportunity to meet you.  The Exhibition runs from 12th to 18th August so if you can't get there on Sunday I will be manning the Exhibition for the entire week so drop in to say hello.
